Seek Excellence and Success Will Follow

If you’re a fan of Bollywood films, then I’m sure you already know where the title comes from. If not, then I highly suggest that you try to get a copy of the movie, 3 Idiots.

Anyway, some of my friends recently discovered this film and have been really raving about it. I can understand why, for I was also in that same state of wonderment when I first saw the movie around a year ago.

But watching it again over the weekend, not only reminded me how good and funny this film was, but it also made me remember one of the best life lessons out there.

Know yourself. Discover your passion.

Everyone is unique and special. Each one of us has our own strengths, skills and talents. And the only way to know what they are is to listen to yourself, cast away your fears and try.

Follow what your heart is saying and do the things that give you joy. Only then can you discover your passion and realize your life’s purpose. Start by asking yourself: what would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Be excellent. Let success happen.

Work doesn’t feel like work if you’re doing something that you love. And when you’re doing something that fulfills you, then you’ll be inspired to always do better.

Your continuous improvement at working on your passion will eventually lead to excellence. And when that happens, believe that success will follow.

Nobody has become successful by pursuing it, because success is simply a result and product of excellence. Be the best at what you do, and watch your life grow.

Seek excellence and success will follow.

  1. I have watched the Indian film “3 Idiots” last March I think together with my sister. We find it a very good film… you can learn a lot from it. Its funny, unpredictable and touching (when they were trying to deliver the baby of Professor Virus’ daughter).

  2. Just dropped by to say that I watched this movie because of Fitz’s recommendation. One of the best movie’s I’ve seen I must say, very well worth the 3 hours! Expect some Bollywood dancing, but the storytelling is beautiful, the dialogue is natural and witty and the characters are all endearing and well-developed. Now why can’t we have this same quality of filmmaking in the Philippines? 😉

  3. The film “3 Idiots” was introduced to us by our professor. I almost watched it two times. I love the life lesson of this movie.

All is well and enjoy what are you doing. 🙂
