The Personal Wealth Building 101 webinar yesterday was a success and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to attend.
For those who missed it, don’t worry because a video replay will be uploaded online so you can watch it.
Anyway, one of the topics that I discussed that day was the need to have multiple sources of income, and I mentioned that for me – blogging has become one of those sources.
During that point, the audience got really interested in blogging, and how one makes money from it.
One attendee, Mr. Jorovan Cabigas of Practical IT Professionals, even took centerstage to directly ask me about blogging in front of the whole webinar room.
Over the years, I’ve given a lot of talks about blogging. Whenever I do, I try my best to share it here in my blog so that everyone can learn from it.
Below is a collection of blogging tips and advise, written through seven articles, that can hopefully get you started into blogging.
How Blogs And Bloggers Make Money Online
My very first public talk about blogging, which was during the Asian Business Expo held at the SMX Convention Center back in 2008.
It’s a quick rundown of the different ways bloggers make money online. If you’re planning to make a blog because you want to earn from it, then it helps to first know and determine how you want to make money from it – so you can build your site around that idea.
Top 5 Tips That Probloggers Will Usually Not Tell You About Making Money Online
In 2009, I was invited to speak at 5th Philippine Blogging Summit or iBlog5 in U.P. Diliman and my topic that day was about professional blogging or simply, problogging.
The post gives five common myths about making money online, and tips on how to overcome those obstacles so you can create a good income-generating blog.
Simple Tips On How To Get More Blog Subscribers and How To Apply Them In Marketing Your Business
This talk happened in Fully Booked along Bonifacio High Street during the Blogger Fiesta 2010. It was an event organized to celebrate the 11th anniversary of Google’s Blogger platform.
My talked revolved around how to get blog subscribers, which is one of the keys to building your online community.
How To Really Make Money Online Through Blogging
That same year, I flew all the way to Iloilo to give this talk at the Visayas Blogging Summit 2010, which was also the same event for the Philippine Blog Awards Visayas Leg for that year.
My talk was about the three-step strategy approach on how you can make money through blogging, both online and offline. I believe it’s a very helpful post for both new and seasoned bloggers today.
How To Write Awesome Blog Posts And Make Money At The Same Time
I gave this talk during Blogger Fest 2011 held at Thunderbird Resorts in Rizal. It was also the debut of my online shirt store for bloggers – Blogger Shirts and it was my first time to actually sell stuff during a blogger event, which was really… awesome! 😀
As I always say, quality content is key to the survival of a blog, and this post gives you 9 easy-to-do and practical tips on how to make your articles worth reading, remembering and sharing.
The Thirsty Blogger’s Guide To Blog Traffic without SEO
I was back at the Philippine Blogging Summit in 2011 as a speaker and for iBlog 7, I gave a talk on how to get blog traffic without SEO.
The link points out to my beverage blog, The Thirsty Blogger. I posted the article there because my talk revolved around how I created traffic to that particular blog. Go ahead and visit it, subscribe to that and then come back here. 😀
How To Get Visitors To Your Blog
My latest speaking engagement on blogging happened just last week during the 1st Baguio Blog Conference. The event was held at the University of Baguio where students and bloggers of the Cordillera region converged to learn more about blogging.
That day, I talked about the different types of visitors that you get online, and how you can optimize your blog and your content to get them.

And that about wraps up the list of blogging talks which I’ve given through the years up until the present.
I can actually still recall a couple more speaking engagements which I was not able to blog about yet, particularly those which I’ve given in schools. I think I just got suddenly busy so I was not able to write about them.
So please give me some time, and I’ll prepare those posts and publish it here.
In the meantime, I hope you can subscribe to Ready To Be Rich below so you can learn more not just about blogging and making money online, but also how to improve your knowledge on business, investments and personal finance.

Yes. Adsense is a good source of income from blogging. But don’t be too obsessed with it, just focus on getting traffic and your adsense income will naturally go up.
Thanks, what else aside from adsense your using in your blog to earn. would you recommend using chitikka, adbrite, bidvertizer, postlink, buysellink, etc?
also, as far as i know, adsense restrict only three ads appear on every pages, (example at home page) but i was counting your ads in adsense, what did you do why you were allowed to appear up to 6 adsense ads? hehehe just wondering, would you mind to share your strategy sir? Thanks
Hi mon. As for Adsense alternatives, I’d recommend Chitika, Adbrite, Infolinks and Amazon affiliates because I’ve had good experience with earning from them too. Locally, there’s Nuffnang and Ambientdigital.
As for Adsense, you are actually allowed up to 3 ad blocks plus up to 3 text ads for a total of six in one page. 😀
Thanks po.
