Well now I know, and it is very true that I am the product of my Great depression era Grandparents, my Grandmother’s younger brother & his wife and my Mom to make the group of five influencers. My Grandparents had frugality down to a science, the bills were always paid on time and a little extra for the cookie jar. Grandmother’s brother, my Great uncle and his wife were more adventurous and made wise investments.
In the days of my youth, much of the milk was delivered to homes via a small truck with the driver filling your order and making the collection of payments. Yes, one of my Uncles was a milk home delivery man. Probably not a large salary but what they accomplished together was amazing. I do not think they had any stock investments but man did they ever do well in real estate !!! I really see how the over-conservative nature of my Grandparents that passed to my Mom was counterbalanced by the more ambitious relatives I was close to.
