Mel and Joey Features Group Buying

Updated: May 9, 2011

Mel and Joey, on its Mother’s Day 2011 special, featured Philippine group buying websites in one of their segments.

A sign that group buying has definitely become mainstream in the e-commerce landscape of the country.

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate to be invited by the staff of the show to share some of my knowledge about group buying and if you were not able to catch it, below is a recording of the episode segment.

I hope you enjoy watching!

I would like to thank the staff of Mel and Joey for this opportunity. And special greetings go out to all the viewers of the show for visiting my blog during and after the segment. It was thrilling to see my traffic spike up like that.

Anyway, below now is a list of articles I’ve already written about group buying:

By the way, about two years ago, I also had a chance to appear on national television courtesy of Probe. You might also be interested in watching that episode segment here: Probe Features Mystery Shopping

  1. Have seen it also s Mel and Joey…Galing naman…
I always read your blog eversice, d nga lang nag comment. Eventually, glad to see you in flesh in different blogger’s event and even saw you talk…Like the simplicity on how you deliver it…Yes, simply amazing!

Have always support group buying site as I featured it as my early post,
Marami pala sila and will definitely look for it…

Looking forward to meet you again…Again congrats!

  2. Nice blog. Hope you can also feature those group buying sites which mislead customers. One good example is the deal dozen. They feature deals which are not good deals at all when you research about it, like the samsung cam thay they were selling, and also the boracay resort promo which did not really offer a big discount at all since they were in conjunction with an ongoing promo, its like naki ride lang sila sa promo ng resort.these sites should go out of business kasi niloloko lang nila mga pinoy. I would go for the established names in the group buying business.

  3. Thanks everyone for the comments. I really enjoyed “guesting” on the show. My “5 minutes of fame” on television. :D

  4. Hi Fitz, I’ve seen that segment last Sunday… and am sure glad to see you talking there — it just means you have the credibility and that they do value your opinion. Nice work! More power!
