How’s everyone doing?
I just got back a couple of days ago from a trip to Tacbloban, Leyte and that’s why this blog has once again been silent for a almost a week.
Aside from that, I’ve also been busy putting up another business – which hopefully I would be able to formally launch here by next week. Woot! 😀
But for now, let me share with you this very charming video from TED.
The talk is entitled, “Wearing Nothing New” and it features designer Jessi Arrington who shares to the audience her passion for clothes and rainbow colors.
I know you’ll enjoy this…
At first take, Jessi has taught us that buying from thrift stores can be fun, fashionable and of course – a great way to save money on clothing.
But if you watch this video again, and tried to go deeper into her message – you’ll realize that beyond buying second-hand clothes – she’s also an advocate of creativity, individuality and positivity.
She encourages everyone to be problem solvers – to find ways to meet our personal needs without leaving a huge footprint to the environment; to celebrate one’s individuality and not be attached to material things; to become philanthropists – and learn to let go and give back.
