Updated: June 14, 2015

This week’s going to be a busy one for me because I will be teaching in two separate learning events, which I hope you can check out and join.

ICT 4 BIZ: How To Be a Successful Freelancer

Date: June 17, Wednesday
Time: 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Venue: Sequoia Hotel, 91-93 Mother Ignacia Avenue cor Timog Ave, Quezon City

The DOST-Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Office, in partnership with the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), and Vibal Publishing House will hold the first ever inclusive ICT expo entitled “ICT 4 BIZ”.

This one-day event will spotlight ICT products and services of organizations and startup companies of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and other non-PWD ICT-related providers.

My startup, 199Jobs, is part of this Expo and I will be there to deliver a talk on how to succeed as a freelancer. I will particularly focus on financial strategies for non-fixed income earners.

If you’re available, then I encourage you to join because it’s a FREE event. So I hope I’ll see you there!

Basic Yaya Training: Money Management

Date: June 20, Saturday
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Venue: Mothercare, 3/L The Podium, ADB Avenue, Pasig City

Manila Workshops, in cooperation with Mothercare Philippines, and Venture Lab, bring you this series of workshop for your child’s yaya.

This coming Saturday will be all about money management, and will particularly cater to teaching yayas how to properly handle their salary so they can build their savings while still providing for their family.

If your child’s yaya often asks for salary advance from you, then it’s a sign that they’re not doing good with their budget. Enroll your yaya in this workshop, and help him or her become more financially educated.

The learning fee is Php 1,200 per participant, which includes snacks and handouts. Employers are encouraged to join too!

HOW TO REGISTER: Please contact Ms. Ginger Arboleda at 0917-855-5990 or ginger@manilaworkshops.com to register.
