Summer is here again, and aside from going to the beach and doing other outdoor activities, it’s also a great time to do general cleaning at home.
My family does this every year, and we’ve been doing it since I was a kid. For us, it’s more of a family bonding activity than a household chore.
More often than not, after a full day of cleaning and organizing our home, we end up with a pile of stuff, which we’ve accumulated over the past year that can now be thrown out, given away, or if it’s still in good condition, sold online.
We used to hold garage sales but to be honest, it’s not that easy to get rid of our stuff through this because first, you’d have to advertise around the neighborhood that you’re doing one.
Second, you’d have to dedicate time to be there to entertain the people who will come. And lastly, there’s only as much as your local community that you can sell to.
That’s why in recent years, we now prefer selling our stuff online because in marketplaces such as OLX, a big market of buyers are already there and it doesn’t take long to get inquiries for whatever we’re selling.
