In the Chinese culture, August is believed to be the “Ghost Month”.
Traditionally, the Chinese believe that this is the time when the deceased visit the living.
Financially, this is a period when the stock market usually goes down and thus, it is a bad time to invest.
Personally, I don’t believe in the ghost month, but it usually becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because many superstitious stock traders do take their money out of the market during this time, which causes prices to fall.
So whether you believe in the “Ghost Month” or not, the best thing you can do in August is to simply invest in knowledge.

Sir Fitz, I’m an OFW, ask ko lang po kung kailan ba dapat ang right time para magremit ng pera sa Pinas, kasi di ba po usually pag August wala po gaano nag-iinvest sa stock market. so it means wala po gaano nagbuy ng PHP peso from the foriegn Investor that causes peso decreasing/maintaining its value. do you think it is the right time to convert dollar to peso. I noticed po na mataas ang rate ng PHP peso now eh.
