Lastly, the Franchise Expo 2008 will run from July 11 to 13 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. This is your chance to discover franchising investment opportunities from local and international brands in food, retail and service industries. The exhibit will have around 300 booths, which is 25% more than last year’s show. Furthermore, there will be a series of seminars during the event that will help you become more informed on how to properly start and manage a franchise business.
I went to this last year and I must say that it’s truly an event you don’t want to miss. Even if you don’t have plans to put up a business anytime soon or still saving up for the capital to invest, going to this expo will be a great learning experience. There are lots of giveaways and booths offering free food. If that doesn’t convince you to come, then I don’t know what will. 🙂

On July 5, 2008, Saturday, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, go to Chili’s Missouri St. (beside Starbucks), Greenhills, San Juan. Why? Because there will be an event that will help you find your turning point and take that life-changing step. This affair is entitled, SWITCH! and will feature an afternoon of talks between entrepreneurs, young leaders, and real-life risk takers that will help you turn your passion into profit.
The event is ideal for entrepreneurs, people who want to pursue their passion but unsure if they should take that “leap”, business-minded people and people who are bored with their lives and day jobs. Tickets, inclusive of food and drink, are priced at P600 each. This event is sponsored by Entrepbuff, a group that stands for the development of the entrepreneurial mindset and the fight against risk aversion and mediocrity.
