Taking control and managing your finances can be confusing and overwhelming. More often than not, the best way to avoid this is to look at and find ways to improve your relationship with money.

In this episode, I shared six tips on how to attain better financial health by improving your mindset and attitude towards money and its purpose in your life.

The first tip is to normalize money discussions among your family and friends. While the second tip is to understand that having more money is not the end goal, but to afford your dreams and goals in life.

This is why the third and fourth tips are to identify what really matters to your life and visualize what you’re trying to accomplish often. This takes you out of the daily grind and give you a wider perspective of why you’re working.

The fifth tip is to prioritize saving over earning. While both are important, in the end, it’s really what you keep and not what you make.

And lastly, it’s important to be kind and compassionate to yourself when it comes to your finances. We all make financial mistakes, and the key is to not let failures get into your heart.

We typically don’t talk about our stresses when it comes to money. We need to come together as a group of friends, with no judgment, no shame.

Money is not the end-all-be-all. It’s the mechanism to accomplish whatever your goals are. It does not define you. It’s just a mechanism to accomplish what matters to you most.
