Magsimula Ka (Make A Beginning)

Posted by under Inspirational . Published: July 16, 2008

The song, Magsimula Ka won third prize during The Fourth Metro Manila Popular Music Festival in 1981. It was composed by Gines Tan and sung by Leo Valdes. Up to this date, it has remained as one of my favorite Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

The song title basically translates to make a beginning and sends a message of inspiration and motivation to take action and follow our dreams. It calls us to go for the things we want in life, to dream big and do our best to achieve them.

I would now like to share this song to you and hope that it will inspire you to work hard and be motivated to follow your heart and achieve your goals in life.

Thanks everyone, I’m glad you liked the song. ๐Ÿ˜€

I believe that the MetroPop Music Festival has stopped already. I don’t know why, maybe it’s the declining interest of Filipinos to OPM. So many covers and revivals in the local mainstream music scene nowadays. ๐Ÿ™

  6. Fitz says:

Thanks icezorg! Yes, I made the video myself. I got the pictures from the flickr album of my friend, Phillip. I’m glad you liked it. ๐Ÿ™‚
