For today, I’ve decided to follow the lead of my friend, Ginger and answer a series of personal and interesting questions.
My goal is for you to get to know me a little better. And then perhaps also learn something new about yours truly.
For the past decade, I’ve shared a lot of stories here in this blog, but most are related to my experiences on personal finance and entrepreneurship.
So now, here’s your chance to be acquainted with another side of me. And I hope you’ll enjoy reading this, as much as I had fun answering the questions.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I’d play mobile games or if possible, board games with friends. If I’m not in a gaming mood, I’d probably be on Netflix.
What’s your favorite piece of clothing you own / owned?
My Mojo sandals. They’re durable and I’ve traveled to so many places with them. (Are sandals considered a piece of clothing? Well, I think so.)
What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
I’d go back to playing competitive Magic: The Gathering. It’s really a time-consuming and expensive hobby. I’m just glad that I was able to enjoy being a competitive player for several years during and after college.
What would your perfect room look like?
I prefer my bedroom to be simple and comfortable, it’s almost boring to describe.
However, a perfect room for me where I could stay all day would be a reading room with book shelves that slide away to reveal a state-of-the-art entertainment system, and the room converts into a mini-cinema.
How often do you play sports?
Not as often, but I do if there’s an opportunity. I miss regularly playing badminton, volleyball, and table tennis.
What job would you be terrible at?
I’d be a terrible lawyer or doctor I think. Because I’m not good at memorizing text.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?
I like watching people in coffee shops, and I’d win a medal for coming up with stories about them.
What is the most annoying habit that other people have?
It annoys me when people say things that are judgmental and self-righteous.
What skill would you like to master?
I’m always finding ways to improve my writing skills – for both fiction and non-fiction.
What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
So many adventures come to mind, but the most realistic that I can probably do within the next few years is to do a road trip and drive around the Philippines from Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao, and back.
If you had unlimited funds to build a house that you would live in for the rest of your life, what would the finished house be like?
I think it would be similar to Dr. Michael Mancini’s house by the beach in the television series, Melrose Place. I’ve always admired that house when I was watching the show as a kid.
What’s your favorite drink?
The Barista’s Drink, which you can order in Starbucks as iced white mocha americano, no water and a splash of breve. However, off-the-shelf, I’d say Sola Iced Tea Peach flavor.

I’d like to be a wizard in the Harry Potter universe.
Are you usually early or late?
I prefer to be always on time. Or at the most, 10 minutes early.

I didn’t care much about pets when I was a kid, but our house had a dog, a goldfish, and a parrot at one point during my childhood.
When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?
Financial or investment advice.
What takes up too much of your time?
I spend most of the day outside, and the city’s traffic takes too much of my time. It’s hard to accomplish more than two major tasks in a day because of it.

Psychology and human behavior.
What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?
“Where am I?”

I’m a big fan of Western sitcoms.
What age do you wish you could permanently be?
I want to stay at 27. I don’t want to explain why.

Mostly horror stuff, because they’re either too gory and morbid, or I find the story ridiculous.

Out-of-town and exploring the food and culture of a city.
What is something that is considered a luxury, but you don’t think you could live without?
The Internet.
How often do you people watch?
Everyday, whenever I’m out, especially when I’m waiting in line, caught in traffic, or in a coffee shop.

Good Friday, because it’s quiet and peaceful in the city.
How do you relax after a hard day of work?
I listen to music while lying in bed, until I fall asleep.
What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?

Every adult would be required to work, except if you’re a parent who’s raising a child.

Travel alone and stay for at least a week in a foreign country. It’s a great way to learn more or discover something new about yourself.

I’ve always fancied a Mini Cooper.

I’m hoping to finally go traveling around Europe.

Do mindful meditation.
What movie title best describes you or your life?
This is a hard question, so I’m just going for the first movie that comes to mind, which is The Gladiator.

Bookshelves probably.
What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
Discovering how to make money online from blogging before it became popular in the country.
Where would you rather be from?
I’d rather still be from the Philippines. But if that’s not an option, I think it would be nice to be from Australia.
What are some things you’ve had to unlearn?
There’s a lot, but I think the one that had the most positive impact on my life is unlearning my belief in the paranormal or supernatural world. Life has become less stressful for me when I unlearned this.
What are you looking forward to in the coming months?
Launching a new business, which I hope to announce soon.
What one thing do you really want but can’t afford?
