New Projects: Usapang Pera Live Streams and The 80 Percent Podcast

People have different learning styles. And in today’s era of content creation, I recognize the need to provide alternative ways to promote financial education online.

Thus, I am proud to announce the official launch of two new projects that I’ve been working on for the past several months.

Video blogging is very much alive in the country. But I’m taking this one step further by providing an avenue for everyone to interact with me in real time.

Usapang Pera is a weekly live stream that I do on YouTube. During the show, you can watch as I discuss different topics about personal finance, business, and investments.

Plus, you can join the Live Chat and ask questions, talk to other viewers, or just simply sit back, listen, and learn for about an hour.

I usually go online in the afternoon during weekends. You can follow the Ready To Be Rich Facebook Page and wait for the announcement of the exact time and day of the live streams.

Embedded below are the replay videos of recent live streams for you to watch and see. But it’s better if you watch it on YouTube directly so you can read the Live Chat.

Despite its global popularity, podcasting hasn’t really caught fire yet in the Philippines. I know a lot of people who listen to podcasts, including me, and we all agree it’s a productive form of entertainment and learning.

The 80 Percent is my contribution to the growing number of Filipino-produced podcasts. In this weekly show, I talk about how you can learn smart money habits and the proper mindset to achieve financial success.

Expect to hear personal stories, commentaries on current events, and practical lessons on personal finance and entrepreneurship.

My current goal is to come up with at least one episode every Thursday or Friday. But I uploaded 3 episodes last week so you can have a good idea of what the show is about.

You can subscribe and listen to The 80 Percent on your favorite podcast app, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Embedded below are the first 3 episodes. I’ll have the show notes ready some time next week, and publish it here in the blog.

In the meantime, you can listen below, or visit the podcast website here.

  1. A question if I may? Will these broadcasts be primarily in English or the Filipino language? My beautiful bride brought three children to our marriage. The older two are fluent in both languages but much more comfortable with serious subjects learning in Filipino. The little guy grew up watching British and American cartoons when Mom was working. Strange as it may be, for a lad born here, our seven year olds first language is English, he struggles hard with Filipino. He is very smart and currently sitting beside me learning about my stock, ETF trading and options selling. I know he will love the broadcast IF he can understand it. I will surely forward the news or this new project to the appropriate learners once I can inform them of what language to expect. Thank you in advance for your reply.

  2. @Jack
It will primarily be in Filipino as they are my target market. Perhaps it can be a learning opportunity for him on getting familiar with the Filipino language.

What I noticed is that, when it comes to telling my personal stories, I use Filipino. But when it comes to the lessons themselves, I tend to speak in English.

So maybe that can work for him. Let’s see.

Thank you for always taking the time to comment on my posts.
