UP in the Black: Size UP. Draw UP. Crank UP. | A Seminar on Business and Entrepreneurship

Last weekend, I was one of the guest speakers in a business seminar called “UP in the Black: Size UP. Draw Up. Crank UP.”

It’s an event held in the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City and organized by the UP Business and Service Administrators of the Philippines.

The objective of the seminar is to introduce their members to entrepreneurship and provide an overview of the steps on how to start a business.

I’d like to now share with you the presentation I gave them that day. It’s been a bit revised for public view but rest assured, the important points I discussed are still there.

It was such an honor to meet young minds who are interested in entrepreneurship that day. I hope I was able to inspire and motivate them into starting a business someday, if not TODAY.

Remember that the youngest billionaire in the world, Mark Zuckerberg – the founder of Facebook, started his social network during his student years in Harvard.

And he’s not the only one – Shawn Fanning (Napster), Sergey Brin and Larry Page (Google), Bill Hewlett and David Packard (HP), David Filo and Jerry Yang (Yahoo!) and many others all started their businesses while they were still students.
