The 2008 PBA Bloggers' Choice Award

The next big blogger event happening this month would be The Philippine Blog Awards 2008.

This will be held at the Coral B room of One Esplanade on September 21, 2008.

One of the awards that will be given that night will be the Bloggers’ Choice Award. This is a special award given to the blogger who garnered the most votes from his or her peers.

So if you’re a blogger, then I encourage you to check this year’s official list of nominees and choose the blog that you like best. Interestingly, I am one of those who are nominated together with 46 other excellent blogs.

How do you know if you are eligible to participate and how do you cast your vote? Here are the rules:

To vote, you MUST be a Filipino blogger, which means, you need to own a blog. You might be blogging on Blogger, WordPress.Com, Live Journal, Friendster, Multiply, or on a self-hosted blog—it doesn’t matter—the point is, you need to have a blog to vote. Your blog must be established at least three (3) months from today with a minimum of 10 posts.

• Choose only ONE (1) blog from the list of official Bloggers’ Choice Award nominees.
• On your blog, tell us why you voted for the nominee. Yes, you can vote for your own blog. And no, you cannot vote for a blog that is not on the list of official Bloggers’ Choice Award nominees.
• Additionally, you may choose to include the sponsors list in your post.
• Submit your post URL and some basic info to the Philippine Blog Awards committee. Make sure that you provide the COMPLETE URL of the post you created for your vote to be valid. Click this link to go to the submission form.

Furthermore, when you cast your blog vote, you are automatically entered into a raffle which will give you a chance to win a special prize. As of the moment, it hasn’t been announced yet but there’s been rumors in Plurk that it will be really nice. Update: The raffle prize is a Nokia N82!

So what are you waiting for? Vote for your favorite blogs now. As for me, of course I am voting for myself, Ready To Be Rich. Why? Because I like paying myself first.

Nevertheless, I would like to give a personal recommendation to everyone to please also consider voting for these bloggers whom I’ve personally met and are likewise nominated with me in the Bloggers’ Choice awards.
