Test Your Awareness
This article is posted under Mindsetting.
I would like to share with you today this very interesting awareness test.
I remember this video doing its rounds on the internet a year ago and it was only now that I realized the very important lesson that this test teaches.
This video is actually a public service announcement from the Transport of London.
So anyhow, I encourage you to “do the test” and tell me how you did.
Test Your Awareness: Do The Test
So what’s the important life lesson here?
It’s stated at the end — It’s easy to miss something you’re not looking for.
Such as what?
Good income and investment opportunities.
So open your eyes, always be aware.

Do you know the story of Walter Mischel and his marshmallow test? I wrote about the Stanford Marshmallow Test here more than a year ago and it’s wonderful to relive the lessons learned in that experiment through this talk by Joachim de Posada. Joachim de Posada is a Hispanic-American motivational coach. He helps companies find success in business...
On Achieving My Goals: The Lesson of the Sand Castle
There are two things that Filipinos will be doing in the next few days. They’ll either go out of town and spend time on the beach to have fun… Or they’ll spend it reflecting upon the lessons of the Lenten Season. Since I did the former last year, I’ve decided to stay in Manila this year and have...
The Stanford Marshmallow Test and Lessons On Delayed Gratification
In the late 1960′s, a psychologist named Walter Mischel conducted an experiment on a group of four-year olds. He gave each child a marshmallow and told them that if they don’t eat it and wait for him to return in the room after 20 minutes, he would give them another one as a reward for being...

I tried to look for something unusual by not focusing on the white team but I still missed the moonwalking bear! hahaha.
) so much for being attentive.
I guess I’ll need to train myself more so I can spot opportunities better. Great post!
LOL!! I missed the bear!
If you’re not looking for something, you’ll definitely miss it.
I missed that moonwalking bear too! Interesting video!
What bear, I’m still missing it LOL
I didn’t see the moonwalking bear! >.<
Very interesting video Fitz!
Almost everyone I know missed the bear. Haha. Thanks for watching the video.
P.S. Pasaway ka Jehz! Grrr!
I easily saw the bear, because I’m not that focused on the video yet… I was adjusting my laptop’s volume while watching the video. Therefore, if you’re not focused you’ll be more observant on some other things that’s happening around you. Is that how it is? Interesting.
OMG! It’s so true. I like it that you posted this and that you brought out the financial aspect of it
This is nice.. I just realized that the more we focus on things that matters, we often neglect the other things that equally matters the most!!
I think, lesson learned is that, to focus on the priorities, but to never neglect the non-priorities. These so-called “non-priorities” can eventually pull you down.
